With Virginia facing a budget deficit of 3 billion, you’d think that the General Assembly members wouldn’t compound the problem by submitting hundreds of bills that don’t have a hope of passing because the State has NO MONEY and because the bill is to benefit one special interest group and not the masses.
It’s interesting too that the GA members complain that they may not have enough time during this session to work through the budget, well no wonder, they are too busy working on those special interest bills.
Has anyone done a study to determine how much money is wasted by these types of bills? I’m talking about from the point when the GA member has the idea to the point it is voted on in committee to include the drafting and the review by the agencies involved to create the fiscal impact statements.

Let’s make sure we remember our priorities: Grow the government, raise taxes, and reduce personal freedoms. [sarcasim off]
