A 12-year-old Henrico County girl who was alone was uninjured in a home-invasion robbery, but police said the three armed suspects stole wrapped gifts from under the family's Christmas tree.

Police were searching yesterday for the three suspects in the robbery, which was reported Tuesday shortly before 7 p.m. in the 300 block of Azalea Avenue.

Lt. Doug Perry said the girl was sitting in her family's dining room when three males brandishing handguns kicked in the kitchen door and demanded to know where the money was hidden.

When the girl said she knew of no hidden money, the three ransacked the home, forcing her to sit in the master bedroom.

Finding no money, the men grabbed several gifts from under the Christmas tree near the front door before running from the home, Perry said.

A police dog tracked the robbers' scent to Richmond-Henrico Turnpike before the trail went cold, Perry said.

All three men were described as between ages 17 and 20 and between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot. Two weighed between 160 and 180 pounds and had no facial hair, dark complexions and all black clothing.

The other weighed between 120 and 140 pounds, had no facial hair, braided hair and was also wearing all black clothing.

Anyone with information can call Henrico police at (804) 501-5000.

Hmmmm…..losers, be real men & get a job, LOSERS!  Flat out piracy…..Poor kid, who does this to a child?  Sounds like they may have been watching the house & saw the Dad leave?  I’m sure the parents felt ok to leave her @ home for a quick errand, I have done the same thing…but in this day & age we just can’t leave anything to chance & can never be too careful…..hope they catch these losers!!!!
