-- NORFOLK -- A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Maury High School football standout Charles Humphrey.
Norfolk police spokesman Chris Amos says the teenager was arrested at about 7:30 a.m. today without incident. The boy wasn't identified because he is a juvenile. He also faces a firearms charge.
Amos says more arrests are expected. No motive was released.
Humphrey was fatally shot at an intersection in Norfolk at about 1 a.m. Sunday after he had attended a party.
The 18-year-old senior was captain of Maury's football team and co-captain of the basketball team. He led the Commodores in rushing this past season with 771 yards.
Humphrey had planned to play football at Division II St. Augustine's College in North Carolina next fall.
