Life-enrichment series scheduled at Unity Christ Church of Bon Air
Unity Christ Church of Bon Air will sponsor its annual Sizzling Summer Life Enrichment Techniques series 7-9 p.m. Thursdays, starting July 10 and ending Aug. 28 at 923 Buford Road.
The first program is on "Health promotion and wellness as part of your spiritual path." Neurologist Mark S. Smith will speak on how the latest science on brain function is used by chiropractic neurologists to improve health and well-being.

3 multicultural congregations to hold joint worship service on fifth Sundays
Eternity Anglican Church, Eternity Church and Victory Life Fellowship -- which share space and the vision of a single church family in Richmond's North Side -- will meet for their first joint worship service at 11 a.m. tomorrow at 1900 Chamberlayne Ave.
The service, which will highlight the multicultural and multinational character of the three congregations -- members hail from more than 25 countries -- will be in their newly renovated space in a former bank-operations center behind Richmond's main post office.
The three congregations are planning joint worship on fifth Sundays. On other Sundays, they will meet at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., respectively.
Metro Richmond at Prayer project focuses on criminal-justice system
The churches participating in Metro Richmond at Prayer, a yearlong project, are focusing on the criminal-justice system this month.
This week's prayer is: "We pray for the criminal justice system in metropolitan Richmond: for an end of the drug trade, gangs, demonic cults, hate groups, domestic violence, child abuse, prostitution and sex crimes."
