The fifth annual Taste of India festival will be June 21-22 from noon to 9 p.m. at the Cultural Center of India, 6641 Ironbridge Parkway in Chester.

The event gives the metro Richmond and Tri-Cities areas a glimpse of Indian culture through diverse Indian cuisine as well as Indian handicraft, art, music and dance.

Visitors will be able to taste authentic Indian cooking, from chicken curry; lamb curry; kabab; breads; the South Indian pancake the dosa; and from North India, the samosa.

Beverages will include lassi to soothe your stomach, the traditional Indian chai (tea) from Darjeeling or Assam, and varieties of Indian beer. For your sweet tooth, there will be fragrant rasgullas and other Indian desserts and Indian ice cream.

While enjoying the foods and quenching your thirst, enjoy shopping for fine jewelry (pure gold, pure silver and diamonds), saris, Bollywood designer clothing, music CDs, books and many more items.

Admission is free, and the event is open to all. This is a family event!
